The President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop Daniel Okoh and the Presiding Bishop of Grace of God International, Dr Paul Nwachukwu, have urged Christians in Nigeria to be actively involved in electing the next president of Nigeria in 2023.

Both men of God spoke at the Grace of God Headquarters, 3-3 outskirt of Onitsha in Anambra State during the celebration of Pastor Nwachukwu’s 75 years anniversary and 55 years in the Ministry.

Archbishop Okoh who is the General Superintendent of Christ Holy Church International told Christians in Nigeria to jettison their old dogmatism that Christians cannot effectively participate in politics.

He said this is the time for Christians to actively participate in nation building by taking part in active politics.

According to the CAN president: “This is the time to jettison that old ideology that Christians should not participate in politics. We must be sensitive. Christians must be involved in politics, voting, sponsoring people in political offices.”

He stressed the need for ecumenical spirit among Christian denominations since they are of common heritage in Christ.

Oko said there is need for all Christians to close ranks so as to make the necessary change in their country .

“We must realise we have common problem, we must reduce our denominational differences. In the whole of Africa, we have the best platform God has given us under CAN,” he said.

The Archbishop urged Christians to always speak the language of peace to other religions, advising that in their engagements they should be wiser, richer and willing to share what God has deposited in them.

In his speech, Bishop Nwachukwu said the next president of Nigeria would be determined by committed prophets of God.

“It is the prophets that anoint kings, when God’s people will gather together, men of God will ask God to give them the person that will rule Nigeria. God will nullify a lot of things and give us somebody who will govern this nation with the fear of God. We shall vote but we shall count on God,” he admonished.
Dr. Nwachukwu said he was feeling 40 years, stressing that he would launch his fresh campaign for the gospel of the kingdom which is for the total liberation of mankind early next year.
He said the body of Christ has a very big assignment in this end time, which is the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom to all nations, saying that Jesus is the Lord and must have dominion over all things, lifting men in his name.

The Presiding Bishop said he is always elated because he has sons and daughters who have followed him for about 60 years.

“God has given me grace to continue to pour blessing on them untill they become what they should be. Thus they pour love on me. They have encouraged me.”

Bishop Nwachukwu announced that he had authored five books which would be launched next year.

Some of the books includes: Oaks of Righteousness, Manifestations of Sons of Men, The 21st Century Church.

The high point of the celebration was the cutting of the 75th birthday cake by Nwachukwu with other Ministers of God and his children.
